That. Im still not sure! I want to do a speical graphic for it. Since it is a contest jean. Maybe something fun? But not corny? Thoughts? Maybe (if possibe/not too much work) we have them individually numbered with our name on the bottom with "Railcar Fine Goods" on it where it usually is. Or, you can do what Ooe Yofukuten did for their contest (http://supertalk.superfuture.com/index.php/topic/134802-ooe-yofukuten-co-denim-contest/page-8#entry2754380) and put everyone's forum name on the patch (since people might not want their real names on it). Might be hard to do it since your patches are much higher quality than theirs looked to be. Another idea might be the Railcar logo on the pocket bags of the Spikes X010 (http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn.volusion.com/vtcrm.cxaah/v/vspfiles/photos/RMJSPIKESX010-12.jpg?1368005775), or maybe just a boxcar design with some text indicating the contest at the bottom. By the way, what inspired the squirrel design on the pocket bags? They look great. Also, what mill in Japan is the fabric from (just curious)?

I think the name thing could be too much work, they would have to make a brand for each patch.

That's true. I forgot they had to make a brand.

Forum name and/or number would be cool but no idea of the work that would be involved!
Only idea I've got for something simpler is maybe the normal railcar patch but in railcar in mirror writing - maintains brand but makes the contest jeans stand out. (I think there's a reason that I'm an accountant and not a designer though!)

I like the idea of a vintage locomotive (but might not work for a patch) also my forum name is after my son Theo ....so that would be cool

I think some kind of railcar image and brand font would be cool, I like the numbering idea being limited edition and how about the date for the start of our wear and tear??

Anything that is easy for you guys to do at the shop, and won't further delay the process.

excellent.
Let me do some sample and post.
This shouldn't delay the process as the jeans are currently getting sewn together. The patch will be the last step anyways. So I got a little time before it needs to get put on.
I just want to make sure its special for you all. Im really excited to do this with all of you. Thanks again for doing this!

Heck, why not put your squirrel-friend on the patch?

I'm late to the offerings here, but I think the RFG logo from the pocket bags of the Spikes X010 (or the RFG tshirt) is a great idea (quoted from earlier, below). It is different, but consistent with brand identity, and is a badass font. "Another idea might be the Railcar logo on the pocket bags of the Spikes X010 (http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn.volusion.com/vtcrm.cxaah/v/vspfiles/photos/RMJSPIKESX010-12.jpg?1368005775), or maybe just a boxcar design with some text indicating the contest at the bottom."
